Sometimes

I feel like

I have two sets

of twins

separated by a few years.


I know this is blurry, but I love the big brother protector thing going on here!

Anyone else see the same thing?

God, family, country. That sums up the loves of my husband's life. My husband is an amazing man of God. He loves the Lord is a wonderful example of servant leadership.
Doug is such a good Daddy. It is rare to find him without a child in his arms, on his lap or within two inches of his feet -normally behind him where they can trip him easier. His patience as a father astounds me. He loves to teach the kids about God's creation and generates excitement about the world around us whenever we are out and about.
He loves hiking, shooting, woodworking, knife making, and house remodeling. Okay, the last one was a stretch to put in the like column. He is very creative, inventing tools that are the envy of people he works with.

I am blessed to be married to this man who cares so deeply for so many.

Tyler - our firstborn- is all boy. He has a love for the Lord that amazes me. He is his father's son. His favorite place to be is in the middle of the woods building a fort or defending it with guns and swords as only a boy can.
He is a wonderful big brother to his three little sisters. He loves his role as "oldest" and only sometimes exploits it. It has been a blessing to see that role extended as he often helps with child care at our church. The people who oversee his work often comment on how helpful and resourceful he is with the little ones. His comment, "Two year olds sure hit a lot. It's hard work to keep them happy."
Ty is in third grade this year and working hard. He loves science and history. His memory is amazing to me. He often remembers facts that I have forgotten. He loves to dictate stories and can spin a pretty good tale.

Becca is our first baby girl. She is a blend of sweet and spunky. She loves a good joke and brings much laughter to our home. Her caring spirit leads her to spend much time in prayer for those she loves.
She loves all things pink, purple and green. She is mastering the art of painting her own nails and "doing" her own hair. She loves her dolls, especially the newest one that was her grandmother's. But, I often find her locked in a combat of stick swords or deep in a game of army guys with Tyler. She really knows how to mix it up.
Becca is in first grade this year and loves anything that has to do with language arts. She is filling a notebook with poems and songs. She loves to sing and make artistic creations.

Hope is our third baby and middle girl. She is very independent and has a great sense of humor. She does things in her own time and her own way. Although technically a toddler she wants to take part in school daily with the "big kids".

Her trust in the Lord is a blessing to me. Whenever anything (and I do mean anything) is wrong, we must pray about it. She loves Sunday school and thrives in social settings.

Hope's love for animals would keep her living at the zoo if that was possible. She has a fasincation with bugs of all sorts. I've rescued her little fingers many times from bees she was trying to "pet".
